Those of us who have big dogs, truly big dogs, know how hard it is to find a truly big pop-up crate. Dang near impossible.
My dog is 35 in at the shoulder, and this crate is so big that it makes him look like one of those cut out very poorly sized golden retrievers that they usually show in an 18-in crate on amazon. This thing is awesome. I would give it 10 stars, but that's not a option lol
I will say, being visually impaired, it was difficult to figure out where to put the poles. It would be very nice if the elastic were even gray or maybe the khaki color of the zipper. A lot of us don't have good visual acuity, and it was hard to find. And of course, the instructions are written, so... That does a visually impaired person no good. But that's nobody's fault, it's very common, I just wish there had been a different way to get the instructions so that I could have understood it quicker. But, now that I know how it works, 2 minutes and it's up and we're running.
In fact, he just got his bath today, and as soon as he was done - he didn't go to the other two very comfortable dog beds in the house or my queen size bed that he's allowed on. He went directly to his house and laid down and took a nap. So I would say, dog approved.
I finally have a crate that I will be able to manage, I'm also an incomplete quadriplegic, by myself at dog shows. That has always been a big problem. It will fold right up into my luggage, doesn't weigh but a very very few pounds, and even with my malfunctioning arms and hands and not so awesome eyes, I'm very capable of managing it myself.
*This is absolutely not a crate for a dog that is not very very well crate trained and tries to get out. They will destroy it. Not because it's poorly made. But it's a soft pop-up crate made completely of mesh and nice fabric. This is not going to contain a dog that wants out. And I believe that's where I've seen some of the reviews on Amazon and Walmart being so negative. They placed an animal in a crate that was not designed for that animal in that crate, and they destroyed it. We've had no problems with it whatsoever with my service dog.
