A: No assembly. very sturdy. unfolds easily. very happy with chair
Q: Concerned about the arms on this chair, says foam. My experience is it will irritate your bare elbow arms. Is the foam hard, soft, removable?
A: The foam is soft, relatively smooth, non-irritating. It is not removable also.

A: These are very strong and sturdy chairs. I bought three. Not sorry at all.
